How it works
A smart controller replaces a conventional timer with one that connects to your Wi-Fi and pulls local weather data. Hunter Hydrawise uses forecast and observed rainfall, temperature and humidity to adjust each zone's run time automatically. A flow sensor can be added to measure water use, detect leaks and shut off the master valve on a burst. This is a fundamental improvement over a timer, which waters on a fixed schedule regardless of weather and cannot alert you to a fault.
